In July 2002 Archant first starting producing the Southwark News, then a small
independent newspaper not exceeding 32 pages.
Now a London weekly newspaper
with high demands on quality and reliability, the Southwark News is produced
by Archant Print and has grown to an average 40-page edition with a print
run increase of 20%.
In May 2004, the publisher launched an additional weekly free newspaper, the
Southwark Weekender, which was initially an average 24-page edition with a
print run of 41,000 plus, but has now developed into an average 40-page newspaper.
